The CFA Institute Research Foundation podcast is launched!

I have launched the video podcast Financial Thought Exchange for the CFA Institute Research Foundation! The goal with this project is to showcase the pieces we are putting out at the Research Foundation by interviewing our amazing authors, as well as to use our broad network of thinkers in finance to provide the community with deep insights and ideas from the leading thinkers in finance.

My first series in on an anthology we are publishing on Private Credit, “An Introduction to Alternative Credit”.

I had my first conversation with Alfonso Ricciardelli, where we discuss private credit broadly. Alfonso is a great communicator in this space who also co-edited the Research Foundation publication.

My second conversation was with Nick Cleary on Infrastructure Debt. Not being a focus field of mine, I learned a ton from this conversation.

Thirdly, my conversation with Zack Ellison on Venture Debt was such a treat. He is all over social media eager to educate people in this field and was just a delight to work with and converse with.

Fourth and finally, I spoke to Mike Dowdall on the Future of Alternative Credit, really laying the ground for what to expect in this exciting field.

This launches what I consider a crucial initiative for the Research Foundation. We are producing so many great written pieces and it is time more people learn about it. When reading was people’s main media, being old-school with your communication was fine and people in the world of finance knew about the CFA Institute and the Research Foundation. Now, you have to be present online with more than just the occasional LinkedIn post and I am happy to see that this is where the Research Foundation is going.
